Thriving Cultures Spotlight

The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is dedicated to the study, advancement, and presentation of Hispanic culture -- arts, and humanities. Founded in 1983, the NHCC offers year-round public programming in the visual arts, performing arts, history, literary arts, and media arts.

Mill Street Loft is a not-for-profit Multi-Arts Educational Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. It is committed to supporting personal growth and fostering self-expression through the visual and media arts, literary arts, performing arts and arts education.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) opened in October 1997, and now ranks as the sixth largest performing arts center in the United States. Located in Newark, NJPAC aims to be a different kind of arts center--not only a world-class cultural landmark, but also a community center that embraces the diversity of New Jersey.

Now in its 31st year, The Mattress Factory is a museum of contemporary art supporting the creation and exhibition of site-specific installation art. Since 1982, the Mattress Factory has provided space and resources for more than 300 artists from around the world to make site-specific works.
