HUD Announces $100 for Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program

Today the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that they will fund $100 million under FY2010 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for "Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program." The mission of HUD’s Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities is to create strong, sustainable communities by connecting housing to jobs, fostering local innovation, and helping to build a clean energy economy. There are two main areas of operation that work together to comprise the Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities: the Sustainable Communities Initiative and the Energy Innovation Fund.
