How to apply for a grant

Most applicants will use the online letter of inquiry to apply for funding. The purpose of the LOI is to introduce us to your work so that we can determine whether or not there is a good match with Surdna’s funding priorities. If it is determined that there is a good fit, you will be asked to submit a full proposal.

We ask that organizations interested in applying for funding follow the process outlined below. By following this process you will be in the best position to determine whether the Surdna Foundation is a good match for your program and to present a strong case for funding.

Step 2: Select a Program Area

If you believe your work makes a strong connection between two or more of our programs, please apply to the program that you feel is the strongest fit and then explain how it meets the objectives of our other program(s). Please review the guidelines for each program to help you determine where you should apply.
