Organizational capacity building grants are aimed at strengthening the organizational capacity of nonprofit organizations. Only current and past Surdna grantees are eligible to apply for grants of up to $15,000 to address important management and governance issues that can be handled with a small amount of money in a short period of time. Projects may address issues including (but not limited to): board/staff development, marketing, strategic planning, strategic restructuring and communication.
To apply, the CEO of the organization should apply online. In your application, describe the need, the proposed project, the timeline, and anticipated outcomes, and attach a project budget.
If the grant is approved, we will request a work plan and consultant qualifications before payment is made. A final report will be required.
